Life is like Galaga.

There's no real goal in life. Its all about seeing how far you can get and seeing if you can beat that proverbial high score.

Catch is, no one knows what that high score is. Its like some jerk stuck a piece of gum over the top of the Galaga screen 20 years ago and its caked on and you can't see the high score until it flashes on the middle of the screen when you lose your last life.

And then there's the whole capture and retrieving your ship and going into double-ship mode. That's marriage. Some people think it rocks to get those two ships going. Double the pleasure, double the firepower. Some people think its better to stay single, small, and evasive. Afterall, being two instead of one makes you a bigger target, and when you lose that ship... that's a life lost you coulda used elsewhere.

Or whatever.

I like Galaga. I'm just pissed that the new 20th anniversary versions you find in most arcades have a Continue option. Damn reincarnation ruins everything. I do uberly-good on one quarter, but no.... some shmuck went and kept on pumping quarters into the machine to get 9999999999999999999 points.

In L5R news: Diamond Edition is out. It rocks. 'Nuff said.
